Data controller
The Crosswords & Puzzles app (available for iOS and Android) is operated by, and the data controller under GDPR is, Small Water s.r.o., Dlhá 2322/32, 926 01 Sereď, Slovakia. Contact for privacy matters: info@smallwater.eu.
What the app does not collect
Crosswords & Puzzles is an offline app. It requires no registration or sign-in, has no server or cloud storage of its own, and — apart from serving ads (below) — makes no network calls during play. Game progress, statistics and settings are stored only on the device, and Small Water s.r.o. has no access to them.
Advertising — Google AdMob
The app shows ads through Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). To serve ads, personalize them where consented, measure their performance and prevent fraud, AdMob and its advertising partners may process on the device:
- the device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android),
- technical information about the device and app (device type, OS version, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interactions),
- the IP address.
This data is processed by Google and its advertising partners directly, not by Small Water s.r.o. The purpose is showing and optionally personalizing ads, and measuring their performance. Ad consent and withdrawing it
On first launch in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows a certified consent form (Google UMP, IAB TCF v2.2), where you choose between personalized and non-personalized ads. You can change this choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy.
On iOS, the app also shows the system App Tracking Transparency prompt on first launch. Declining tracking does not limit the game in any way — you will simply see non-personalized ads.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience (13+) and is not directed at children. Ads are served in standard, not child-directed, mode.
Your rights
To the extent Small Water s.r.o. acts as controller, you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict your personal data, to object to its processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority or your own country's supervisory authority. Since the app itself does not collect or store any personal data outside the device, these rights mostly concern data processed as part of advertising — you can manage that directly through Google, e.g. at myaccount.google.com or in your device's ad settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the advertising partner or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this address; the date of the last change is shown at the top of the page.
